Experienced Tick Exterminators
Ticks present a serious threat to the health and safety of your family and pets. These blood sucking parasites attach to their hosts and can spread serious diseases. In fact, there were approximately 47,500 cases of tick-borne illnesses reported in 2018. At EcoGuard Pest Management we are experienced and knowledgeable in all forms of tick treatment methods from local treatment to lawn and yard applications. EcoGuard utilizes an integrated pest management (IPM) approach and we have been providing tick control services since 2008. These pests are generally not much of a threat inside of a home, but areas that dogs and cats are active in might be crawling with ticks. This is why it is so important to ensure that an experienced pest control technician comes to inspect your yard for potential harborage points.
EcoGuard offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee for all our customers and we stand by our promise to eradicate your tick problem. That tick control guarantee comes with every service and if the ticks come back, then so do we, at no additional cost. We are standing by to give you a free estimate and to help you set your first tick pest control service appointment. Give us a call today!

6 Ways To Prevent Ticks In The Yard
- Remove overgrown grass – Ticks love to use long grass as a ladder to reach up and latch onto a host. Keeping grass cut short will reduce tick contact and keep the grass exposed to sunlight
- Remove vegetation and debris – Tick are also found in vegetation, fallen leaves, and debris. Clearing any areas that have debris build up and overgrowth will remove harborage areas for ticks to thrive.
- Cut back branches – Cutting back low hanging branches that spill over onto pathways will remove pathways for ticks to latch onto a host. Cutting back higher branches will allow sunlight in which reduces optimal moisture levels for ticks to thrive.
- Adjust clothing – Simple act like tucking socks into pants and wearing long sleeves will reduce bare skin for ticks to attach to. Wearing light colors makes ticks stand out so you can remove them before they bite.
- Use pesticides – Utilizing sprays like DEET are effective as a tick deterrent. Using chemical pesticides to treat the exterior of your home are effective for tick extermination.
- Pet inspections – Regular pet inspections are recommended to prevent ticks from catching a ride. Any ticks that are found should be carefully removed and exterminated.
