This species of scorpion is prevalent throughout the American southwest and is the largest of the species found in the United States. They can grow up to 5 inches long and are considered aggressive when threatened. While they are one of the more aggressive species, their sting feels like a bee sting and their venom is not potent enough to warrant medical attention unless an allergic reaction occurs.
