There are several species of carpet beetles like the varied carpet beetle, black carpet beetle and the furniture carpet beetle. Each of these bugs share similar features with some small differences in appearance and preferred food sources. They are generally small black, white, and yellow or orange bugs that aren’t as problematic once they reach maturity. They primarily eat pollen as adults and won’t cause any problems if left outside.
