• Odorous House Ants: These ants are small and black or brown in color.  They are a scavenger/predator ants and will eat most household foods especially those that contain sugar.   

 

• Carpenter Ants/Flying Ants:  These ants do not eat wood but they will burrow into structures to build their nests.  Often confused for termites, they will also cause significant damage to wood structures.   

 

• Thief Ants:  These ants are extremely small making them hard to find once they make their way into your home.  They eat protein, and their small size allows them to access areas other larger ants may not be able to.   

 

• Argentine Ants:  Like a lot of ants this species will eat anything containing sugar, they have quite the sweet tooth.  They will create trails to attract the rest of the colony to any food source they find.
